Success and Support Scholarships Programmes - Circumstances of An Unsuccessful Application

YOUR APPLICATION TO SUCCESS/SUPPORT SCHOLARSHIPS WILL BE CONSIDERED INELIGIBLE IN THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES

There are various reasons why applications for Success/Support Scholarships tend to be unsuccessful. Below are the most common reasons:

Applicants who are not enrolled in Turkish Universities
• Applicants who are not enrolled in Turkish Universities,
• Applicants who are enrolled in Turkish Universities yet not declared so,
• Applicants who are enrolled in university outside of Turkey cannot apply.

Turkish Citizenship
• Applications who hold the citizenship of The Republic of Turkey,
• Applicants who hold a citizenship of The Republic of Turkey or a dual citizenship, one of which is the a citizenship of The Republic of Turkey by birth,
• Applicants whose Turkish citizenship is definitely been established after investigations cannot apply.

Applicants who have not completed minimum of two semesters at a university in Turkey
• Applicants who have not completed a minimum of two semesters at their enrolled program, except for the preparatory class, cannot apply.

Insufficient Record of Academic Achievement
• Applicants with a cumulative GPA below required minimum academic achievement  (for Success Scholarships 3.50/4.00, and for Support Scholarships 2.00/4.00) and,
• Applicants whose GPA fall below the required minimum grade point average cannot apply.
(The cumulative GPA must be achieved based on general average grades received until the last academic year.The grades of only one term are not taken into consideration. Applicants who are graded with 100 grading system should meet the equivalency table recognized by the Turkish Council of Higher Education.)

Ineligible Academic Standards/ Field of Studies
• Preparatory class students/ those who just completed their preparatory classes,
• Medicine and Dentistry specialization assistants,
• Students of two-year degree programs,
• Graduates cannot apply.

Incomplete/False Information
• Any application where missing or false information or document is provided will be treated as invalid (credentials, university records and transcripts) and,
• If a compulsory document for the application has not been provided by the applicant, the application will be considered invalid.

Incomplete Document/Transcript of Records
If applicants' transcripts from Turkey;
• Have not been uploaded,
• Are uploaded in an invalid format except pdf,jpeg and etc,
• Are non-official,
• Are not uptodate or
• In case the applicant submits forged transcript of records, the application will be considered invalid.

Incomplete Document/ Certificate of Enrollment
If applicants' certificate of enrollment from Turkey;
• Have not been uploaded,
• Are uploaded in an invalid format except pdf,jpeg and etc,
• Are non-official,
• Are not uptodate or
• In case the applicant submits forged certificate of enrollment, the application will be considered invalid.

Multiple Application
Students who submit application for both Success and Support Scholarships will be classified as ineligible. An individual may not submit the same scholarship application through multiple mail addresses. Only one application per individual from a single mailing address will be considered and the rest of the applications will be cancelled.

Receiving Multiple Grants and Scholarships
Applicants must have not previously been awarded a place in Turkey Scholarships schemes (including Devlet, Hükümet and Himaye Scholarships). Students currently benefiting from these scholarship schemes or students whose grants have been cancelled for any reason are also ineligible for the Success and Support Scholarships.

Holders of any other scholarship given by government institutions of Turkey at present as well as in the past cannot apply.

Applicants who benefit from a fully funded bursary at their respective universities cannot apply.

Applicants who hold scholarships given by their country of origin to study in Turkey based on bilateral agreements cannot apply.

Overall Evaluation
Applicants who meet the application requirements are considered according to the following selection criteria:

- Academic merit of the candidate and/or her/his need for financial assistance (transcripts, financial conditions of the applicants, siblings who are attending school)

- Country, university, faculty and department allocations
